It's a done deal

Today is the first week day in about 5 weeks that no one has been here to do work on the house. Seems really odd to have so much peace in the morning. The job, for the workers, is done. Everything looks fantastic & we are so very pleased. Right now is the task of putting everything back where it goes. We are taking advantage of everything being out (especially in the garage) and doing a lot of purging & reorganization. That is a BIG job - how did we get so much stuff? There is a trip to Goodwill & to the dump in my near future. It is all coming along well, just got to keep at it and it will be done soon.

We are extremely pleased with how our office came out. We hadn't planned on getting work done in there until the ceiling had to come out - then came the new doors, new paint, and lastly new carpet. What a humungous difference it makes in the room. I'm so glad that we made that decision.

Below is a picture of the before and after. You have just got to **love** that beautiful yellow lineoleum from the 70's. I had that covered up with a brown rug.

I love the new carpet in the computer room. We also went with the smooth ceiling in both the garage & computer room. Really love that - no more popcorn!

Hopefully I'll have some more pictures to post later on this week.

Glenda it looks really lovely. Now for the best bit - you get to use it. I wonder how long it will be before you just accept it as part of your home and not just 'the new bit'

It looks great Glenda. I wonder how long it will be before you see it as just a part of your home and no longer the 'new bit'.

That is wonderful G!
What a great space.
I think anyone who has done remodeling or an addition of any kind undstands the domino effect.
We are adding on the remainder of our deck over the summer.
That should be full of domino effects! LOL
The addition looks great!
